"Operation Homecoming"

News Flash.... The Army is paying for the transportation.
We must pay for our own lunch at the mess hall.
Each lunch will cost a whopping $4.25 Cash  ONLY

The trip to Ft. Lennard Wood is officially a go.  General Watson and his Command has given the OK for a trip to the old Post where we have so many memories. The Army is picking up the tab for the transportation to and from Ft. Wood. And a very special tour for us is awaiting us when we arrive.

Thursday July 29th. We will leave at 0730 from the Hotel lobby, we will return by 1800
It sounds like General Watson has a full day planned for us, it's going to be fun.

Special Guest Speaker

We have the pleasure to have a true patriot come to speak at the banquet. Mary Beth Crowley. Mary Beth has devoted her entire life to caring for Soldiers and Veterans.

She was an Army Nurse who served 13 months in Vietnam starting in 1970. She spent 9 months at the 17 Field Hospital in Anh Khe, and 3 months at the 67th Evac in Qui Nhon.

After her discharge from the Army Nursing Corps, she returned to her old job before her service to her country at the Minneapolis Veterans Medical Center.

Mary Beth spent the next 35 years caring for veterans in the Minneapolis area. She retired in 2003, but could not stay away from medical care. She went back to nursing as a home care director in assisted living for 5 years and is now doing home care with the elderly.
